What Alem COA Analyzer actually does

Chemistry clarity — not a product rating.

We read your Certificate of Analysis and show you what panels were tested, what the numbers mean, and what is missing. We do not score whether a product is good. We score how complete and transparent the document is — so you can make an informed decision.

🧪
Cannabinoids
Full potency panel — THC, CBD, THCA, minors, and acids
🌿
Terpenes
Every compound identified, quantified, and explained
🛡️
Contaminants
Pesticides, heavy metals, microbials, mycotoxins
🌸
Flavonoids
Rare panel — flagged when present in the COA
💧
Physical data
Moisture content and water activity when reported
⚠️
Missing panels
Not Tested ≠ Safe. We flag what's absent, clearly.
How the 0–100 score works

The score measures how much chemistry data is present and how rich it is. A high score means the COA is comprehensive. A low score means data is missing or thin. It is not a judgment of the product — it is a measure of the document.

25 pts Potency — THC/CBD levels relative to product type (flower, concentrate, CBD)
25 pts Terpenes — total terpene content and number of compounds identified
20 pts Minor cannabinoids — breadth of the full cannabinoid panel beyond THC/CBD
20 pts Safety — which contaminant panels are tested and whether they passed
10 pts Data completeness — key fields present: batch, lab, date, accreditation

A COA without context
is just numbers.

Your lab report is full of precise, rigorous chemistry — and almost no one can read it. Numbers like "THCA 26.39 wt%" or "TPN-MYR-OCI" mean nothing without context. Chemistry this important deserves a translation.

🧬
Chemistry without translation
Lab reports are designed for analytical chemists. They output raw data — precise, rigorous, and completely opaque to the patient holding the document. The meaning stays locked inside the numbers.
⚕️
Clinical decisions with incomplete context
Clinicians prescribing medicinal cannabis need more than THC%. Terpene profiles, minor cannabinoids, the entourage effect — these matter therapeutically. Most COAs provide none of that context.
🏪
Buyers and brands flying blind
A product's chemotype fingerprint, market differentiation, and premium positioning story all live in the COA. Without intelligence, brands can't tell theirs — and buyers can't evaluate what they're listing.
⚠️
"Not Tested" is not the same as "Safe"
When pesticide or heavy metal panels are absent from a COA, that absence is invisible without context. Patients and clinicians deserve to know when safety data is missing — not just when it passes.

Three steps.
Complete chemistry clarity.

Upload any COA — PDF, image, or scan. We read every compound, check every panel, and return a permanent report with plain-English explanations built into every data point.

Chemistry tells a story. We tell it for you.
The "What This Means" summary turns raw chemistry into a plain-English narrative. What's distinctive about this profile. What it signals clinically. What it means for market positioning. All in one paragraph.

Learn what your
medicine is made of.

Every Alem report is also a chemistry lesson. We believe patients and clinicians deserve to understand the science behind their medicine — not just receive numbers on a page. Our tooltips, narratives, and annotations are designed to teach, not just display.

🌿
The Entourage Effect
Why the sum is greater than the parts. Terpenes and cannabinoids work synergistically — meaning the whole-plant matrix produces different therapeutic outcomes than isolated compounds. Every report includes an entourage signal score and plain-English explanation referenced to Russo (2011). Hover any cannabinoid to understand its role in the entourage.

Cannabinoid Pharmacology
What is THCA and how does it become THC? What does CBGA tell us about genetics and harvest timing? Why does CBN signal product age? Every cannabinoid in your report has a hover tooltip explaining its pharmacology, therapeutic research status, and clinical significance — with citations where evidence exists.

Important Disclaimers & Limitations

Not medical advice. Alem Chemical Intelligence reports are generated exclusively from the chemical data contained within the submitted Certificate of Analysis. All analysis, scoring, terpene characterisations, cannabinoid descriptions, and effect direction inferences are informational in nature and do not constitute medical advice, clinical recommendations, or therapeutic guidance. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any decisions about medicinal cannabis use, prescription, or dosage adjustment.

Chemistry only. This report reflects the chemistry documented in the submitted COA at the time of laboratory testing. It does not account for individual patient physiology, tolerance, consumption method, product batch variation, storage conditions post-testing, or any other factor that may influence therapeutic outcomes. The same chemical profile may produce very different effects in different individuals.

Effect direction is observational, not clinical. Terpene-based effect direction inferences (e.g. "Uplifting / mentally active") are derived from observational correlations between terpene chemotypes and self-reported experiences. They are not based on randomised controlled trials conducted on this specific product. They represent a directional, population-level signal — not a personal clinical prediction.

Safety data limitation. If a safety panel is listed as "Not Tested" in this report, it means that data was not present in the submitted COA. This is not a confirmation of product safety. Products without pesticide, heavy metal, or microbial testing should not be assumed compliant. Always request complete safety documentation from your producer or pharmacist before use.

For Healthcare Professionals and adults over 18 only. Medicinal cannabis is a regulated substance in Australia and internationally. Regulations vary by jurisdiction. This tool is intended to support informed conversations, not to replace licensed healthcare provider guidance. Alem Solutions complies with all applicable Australian TGA regulations.
